Jan Snider Kent, PhD, CEO
Dr. Kent attended the University of Missouri-Columbia, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She earned her M.A. in 1987 and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Texas Tech University in 1991. She taught courses at Texas Tech University in general psychology and personal adjustment.

Dr. Kent completed her internship at the Dallas Child Guidance Clinic in Dallas, Texas, where her training focused on the evaluation and treatment of childhood psychological disorders. Her past clinical experience has included working as the Treatment Team Coordinator for an inpatient adolescent treatment unit, conducting psychological assessments and treatment of juvenile offenders through a juvenile probation office, conducting behavioral weight management treatment, and working with inpatient and outpatient chronically mentally ill individuals at a VA hospital and an outpatient community mental health center.

Dr. Kent is a licensed psychologist and holds the Health Service Provider Certification. She has maintained a private practice in Joplin since 1991. She provides psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults, assessing learning problems and behavioral or emotional disorders. She provides psychological treatment for children, adolescents, and adults and coordinates the ADHD treatment services in the clinic.

Dr. Kent has coauthored a chapter and published a research article and dissertation in the area of eating disorders. She is an active member of the American Psychological Association. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She serves as Vice Chair for the Four States Behavioral Health Network.
